The soils of the restoration site and the topographic features were never greatly disturbed. This allowed for a variety of native plants to survive.

Rough marsh cress
Virginia wild rye
Swamp milkweed
Wild geranium
Wild hyacinth
Wild leek
Bottlebrush grass
Spring beauties
Prairie trillium
Woodland sunflower
Goldenrods
New England aster
Bur oak
Swamp white oak
Shagbark hickory
Carrion flower
Pennsylvania sedge

70 native species of plants have been recorded at the buffer site to date.
