Outcomes The restoration plantings reduce erosion, trap sediment, filter pollutants, absorb nutrients and cleanse water running through and over the landscape prior to discharge to Harrier Marsh. By allowing the stream to follow its own course, this is expected to result in a gradual restoration of natural meanders to the channel and the establishment of natural swales within the stream floodplain and through the stream corridor.
